The Big Sandy Machine Gun Shoot
is a biannual event where hundreds of gun enthusiasts from around the world gather for a weekend of machine gun, cannon, and high-explosive shooting. The Big Sandy Range was formed in 2005 by Ed Hope and Kenton Tucker near Wikieup, Arizona. It’s the last of the big machine gun shoots and it’s the biggest shoot in the world. Approximately 200 shooters attend this bi-annual event, and they expend just under 2 million rounds. In 2024, the Big Sandy Machine Gun Shoot will celebrate its 25th Anniversary.
