Colt is getting into precision shooting sports with the new Colt CBX Precision Bolt-Action Rifle! The Colt CBX Rifle is specifically designed for precision shooting and ergonomics in every detail. They’ll initially be offered in 6.5 Creedmoor and 308 Win, with plans to add more calibers in the future.
The strong 6-lug bolt has a 60° bolt throw for faster cycling and increased compatibility for long-range scopes and other optics. The carbon steel, button-rifled barrel has a corrosion-resistant black nitride finish. The receiver is flat-bottomed to improve rifle accuracy by reducing flex. The 2-position tang safety is ergonomic and allows for a more natural movement when engaging or disengaging. It also has a user-adjustable trigger from 2.5 to 5 pounds.
Although not technically a stock in the traditional sense, the aluminum MDT chassis is super-versatile. Featuring a user-adjustable length of pull and cheek weld with an extended 15-inch forend with an Arca rail and M-Lok slots. There’s an aggressive barricade stop for a firm rest just about anywhere when you’re not using an Arca or other bipod or tripod system. The pistol grip has an ambidextrous palm swell, a thumb shelf, and an ambidextrous magazine latch. The chassis is AICS-magazine compatible and one 5-round Magpul is included. No worrying about finding proprietary magazines because AICS are common magazines available from a number of manufacturers.
The Colt CBX Rifle comes with a 20-MOA 1-piece Picatinny rail mount for optics, and is compatible with Remington 700 accessories. As far as a first shot at a precision shooting rifle, the Colt CBX Precision Bolt-Action Rifle is out-of-the-box ready for mounting optics and heading out for some long-range shooting.
