Video Transcript

Hey, I’m Jeremy Stafford with Mossberg, I’m the Military Law Enforcement Sales Manager, and we’re going to discuss features of the Mossberg Shockwave. So, the Shockwave: now, a lot of people love the Shockwave. They don’t understand where it fits in. They think maybe it was it created initially just to be kind of like a middle finger to the ATF, and while I’m not opposed to that, that’s not why it was created.

We wanted something that was capable of being used in a very compact space, and when it first came out, it was a little misunderstood and people were under the impression that for some reason you wouldn’t be able to sight it or use it like a regular shotgun, and that’s not the case. A lot of really great trainers out there have shown that you can do really good work with the Mossberg Shockwave. Guys like Steve Fisher, guys like the HOTS, you know, utilizing that push-pull.

I’m going to turn away from the camera a little bit so I don’t cover anybody with this, but utilizing that push-pull, you can come on target, and it’s still possible to get really accurate Aim Fire. And anytime you’re using a gun, even if it is a shotgun, aim fire is key for success. It has a 14-inch barrel, you can see it’s got a bead on it because of the anticipated engagement distances, the bead generally serves just fine. Aluminum alloy receiver, ambidextrous safety on top–the ability to shoot with both hands–and of course, you still get all of our other advantages that you would get out of a 590 series. You have that clean out magazine tube, so if you’re in an area that gets dusty or dirty, you can just pull that off, clean that tube out. We also have our steel-to-steel lock-up, dual extractors, dual action bars, if one of them goes, which like I said in the last video, its actually common with all pump shotguns, this thing’s going to keep chugging along because you get two of them. All in all, a very misunderstood, but sweetheart of a gun to shoot.

You know, a lot of people think that you have to be able to shoulder it and do all these other things, short of sustained combat, with the right training and the right ammunition, this gun can serve you very well in close quarters and you don’t necessarily have to worry about some of those disadvantages of having a longer gun when you’re trying to navigate those tight quarters.

So, there you go, Mossberg Shockwave, just one is our, the kind of the retro, with wood furniture because I’m a little bit old school. I appreciate that, but you know, it’s available with different options as far as furniture, polymer, shell holders, just about everything you’d want to put on it. This is my favorite one of them. If you want to research these guns, you go to Mossberg.com. They’re all there. If you want to buy it, make sure you get to GunBroker.com and get your bids in quick.
