August 2023 Report: 22 Most Expensive Guns Sold on GunBroker.com by Total Dollars | Auction or Fixed-Price

The August 2023 GunBroker.com Most Expensive Guns had plenty of machine guns, which has been a big trend this year. This month, the #22 spot went to a select-fire Pre-86 Dealer Sample Heckler & Koch HK MP5A3 for $17,000. For the last two months, Colt M16A2s were the most expensive guns sold, but this month they were bumped to the #4 slot at $40,076 for a Colt M16A2 Factory 11.5″ Commando 733 / 735. Following a very hot trend lately, two more Colt Python Snake Eyes Sets (67 of 500 and 478 of 500) were sold, this time for $36,026 and $55,580, respectively, clinching the #5 and #2 spots. Check out the very unusual Pearl Mfg UC9 UC 9 Foldable SMG eForm-3 Kawasaki Green NIB in spot #11, you don’t see these every day! #19: Heckler & Koch H&K MP5A3 Full Auto Machine Gun 9mm – Pre May Dealer Sample

Per product listing: Heckler & Koch MP5 A3 9mm Full Auto Machine Gun with a B.G.W. Suppressor and H&K Pulse Beam Laser attached; in excellent shape and has seen very little use. It shipped originally from H&K in November of 1978. This is a Pre-May / Pre-86 Dealer Sample and requires No Demo Letter with a MFG date of 1978. This would be considered a Keeper as it is built before May of 1986. The silencer that comes with this gun is a B.G.W. AP9S. It attaches via the TriLug mount. This gun also has an HK Pulse Beam Model 100 Laser Sight installed. Overall this Machine Gun is in good shape, showing some minor signs of wear and use. Comes with a sling and magazine.
