Barrett Firearms Manufacturing commemorates a landmark moment in American history with the release of the America 250 Series Special Edition, featuring two of the company’s most recognizable large-caliber rifles: the Barrett Model 82A1® and the Barrett Model M107A1®. Introduced for 2026, the series reflects both national heritage and Barrett’s long-standing role in American firearms manufacturing.
This video provides an educational overview of the America 250 Series, examining the design foundations of each rifle, their historical significance, and the commemorative elements that distinguish these limited editions from standard production models.
Each America 250 Series rifle is delivered as part of a curated commemorative package designed to emphasize both protection and presentation. Each rifle ships in a custom Pelican® hard case, configured to house the rifle fully assembled rather than disassembled.
The complete presentation package includes:
These elements distinguish the America 250 Series from standard Barrett rifle offerings and reinforce its positioning as a collector-focused release tied to a historic milestone.

The Model 82A1® is the rifle that established Barrett’s global reputation. Its semi-automatic, recoil-operated design and distinctive profile made it one of the most recognizable large-caliber rifles ever produced.
In America 250 Series form, the Model 82A1® remains mechanically faithful to the classic platform while incorporating unique visual treatments and exclusive serial numbering that set it apart from standard 82A1® rifles. The result is a configuration that preserves the original character of the rifle while emphasizing its historical importance. The 20-inch Model 82A1® rifles are individually serialized within the LIBERTY001–LIBERTY250 range and feature a custom Cerakote® finish inspired by early American symbolism.

The Barrett Model M107A1® represents the modern evolution of the original 82-series design. It incorporates material updates and construction refinements intended to reduce weight and improve durability while maintaining the same operational role and chambering.
For the America 250 Series, the Model M107A1® receives its own commemorative finish and serial range, aligning it visually with the anniversary theme while retaining the defining features that distinguish it from earlier Barrett platforms. The 20-inch Model M107A1® rifles are serialized from FREEDOM001 to FREEDOM250 and are finished with a custom Cerakote® treatment reflecting early American heritage themes.

Although closely related, the two rifles reflect different design priorities:
The America 250 Series places these platforms side by side, offering insight into how Barrett’s flagship .50 BMG rifle design has progressed over time.
In addition to the standard limited production rifles, Barrett has designated a small number of symbolic serial-numbered examples tied directly to key dates in American history. These special matched sets are scheduled to be offered through GunBroker, providing collectors access to the most historically significant variants within the series.
By focusing on the Model 82A1® and Model M107A1®, Barrett uses the America 250 Series to frame its history through two defining platforms—one that introduced the world to Barrett’s large-caliber vision, and one that represents its modern refinement.
The series underscores how Barrett’s core design principles have remained consistent while materials, manufacturing processes, and applications have evolved.

The Barrett America 250 Series Special Edition Model 82A1® and Model M107A1® serves as a commemorative look at two rifles that shaped Barrett’s identity and influenced modern large-caliber rifle design. With limited production, distinctive finishes, and a presentation package designed for collectors, the series highlights both heritage and continuity.
The Barrett America 250 Series is a limited commemorative release featuring special edition versions of the Barrett Model 82A1® and Model M107A1® rifles introduced for 2026.
