Hi, I’m Mike Humphreys, Media Relations Manager for Springfield Armory. We are here at Shot Show in Las Vegas. And I want to talk to you about our absolute newest release: the features of Springfield Garrison 1911 handgun. We released this gun on the very first day of Shot Show:

So what we’re talking about is a new Garrison model in case you’re not familiar with it and little backstory. Springfield Armory is renowned for its 1911, has a multi-decade tradition for making high-quality 1911’s for great prices. We offer a wide range of variations and styles from the very basic guns completely tricked-out guns. The Garrison, which we released the original version of 5-inch model, we released it about a year-and-a-half ago, was designed to be a classic and traditional 1911 with some upgrades to give it a little bit more of a modern twist. It was offered in blue and stainless steel and it was offered in 9mm and .45. The stainless gun has an MSRP of $917 and the blued gun has an MSRP of $868. Basically what we’re providing you with that gun or what we were providing and still do was a gun that is more of a base gun price with very classic styling but some modern upgrades that would cost you several hundred dollars to get. Like for example, it has 3-dot low profile sights, has an extended beavertail grip safety, has a slotted hammer, has upgraded wood grips. It’s basically a lot of guns for your money for a guy who wants a pretty traditional looking 1911.

Move forward to the first day of Shot Show! We launched a four and a quarter inch version of the Springfield Garrison everything that you know about the Garrison is here. It’s still there everything you like. It’s just in a shorter and more compact package. It’s once again available in Blued or stainless steel and available in 9mm or .45. The MSRPs are the same on that. It’s $917 for the stainless gun and $868 for the blue guns. You’re getting a ton of gun for the money. A lot of positive feedback on this new Springfield Garrison during the show.
