Hey guys, John Tamborino here with Sig Sauer. I am here today to talk about a couple of new exciting releases for the commercial market both based off the US SOCOM programs. What I have here is the MCX-SURG, basically what SURG stands for is Suppressed Upper Receiver Group, it is an upper that you can purchase as well as a stock that you can retrofit and AR-15 lower to. One of the most unique things you will notice about the upper is this suppressor with a heat shield around it, one of the requirements was not to have contact burns from the suppressor, so we designed this titanium shield to go around the suppressor which makes it look a little unique. Otherwise it’s a basic MCX upper with an LT handguard, which is our suppressor handguard and it comes with the stock here. Depending on which lower you are running, you can run this on an AR-15 traditional lower or an MCX lower, it will just pop right up.
Moving on here we have the Sig Sauer MCX-Spear LT (RASR), this is a 7.75” barrel, this has just come out in 5.56 for the commercial market. It has a collapsible stock, complete ambidextrous controls, including safety selector, bolt release and mag release that is mirrored on the other side. At the top here you will notice our SLX suppressor. All of these guns will ship with the muzzle device to attach the suppressor so if you decide to purchase a suppressor later you can screw it right on the gun. For more information on these guns go to SigSauer.com and if you are looking to get one go ahead and plug it in the search bar at GunBroker.com.
