Henry Repeating Arms Unveil the SPD CRUSR Rifle

Henry Repeating Arms has announced the release of the SPD CRUSR Rifle. This is a collaborative project between Henry’s Special Products Division (SPD) and Field Ethos. The ultralight lever action is designed to shrug off the elements with a best-in-class feature set tailored to professional guides, backcountry outfitters and hunters who push their expeditions deep into the world’s most unforgiving places.

“The CRUSR Rifle was developed because we wanted the lowest maintenance, lightest, most compact lever gun ever made in .45-70 Gov’t,” said Jason Vincent, Founder and CEO of Field Ethos. “The cartridge will kill anything on earth, and the ammo is available globally. • Match-grade 416R stainless steel barrel with tension-wrapped carbon fiber sleeves for substantial weight reduction and enhanced barrel cooling.
• Diamond-Like Carbon (DLC) coating on moving parts, like the hammer, trigger, bolt body and side-loading gate for superior wear and corrosion resistance.
• H-238 Midnight Blue Cerakote finish across the sights, barrel, receiver, lever, outer mag tube and thread protector for weather protection and a subdued field appearance.
• H-294 Midnight Bronze Cerakote aluminum M-LOK forearm and matching synthetic buttstock for modularity, weight reduction and additional weatherproofing.
• Factory-installed Picatinny rail with integrated adjustable ghost ring rear sight and brass bead front sight
• Ghosted “FE” logo on the receiver to signify the Field Ethos collaboration.

Measuring 35.25-inches overall with a 16.5-inch carbine-length barrel, its compact form is ideal for long miles in tight timber, steep ascents, or space and weight-constrained bush flights. At just 6.7 pounds, it sheds unnecessary bulk without compromising strength through smart material choices. Its 5/8×24 threaded muzzle ensures seamless suppressor integration for recoil and sound signature reduction. It delivers more than enough stopping power for all seven continents with a 4+1 capacity of .45-70 Gov’t and enough structural overhead to handle +P hunting cartridges. Unlike other Henry lever actions, the outer magazine tube is devoid of a cartridge cutout to maximize Cerakote coverage, keep out dirt and debris and eliminate the shine of the brass inner magazine tube from showing externally.
