Hey guys, Dave here from Hi-Point Firearms. We’re at Shot Show and today we’ll talk about the features of Hi-Point YC9. So this is our new flagship pistol. We’ve been working a long time for this. A lot of you guys know the story, some of you don’t, but it’s out there. It’s kind of an interesting one. So this is the new flagship gun. It replaces the old C9 gun. So what we have is a total redesign front to back. Starting off is a 1/2 by 28 threaded barrel, standard now on every YC9. So if you want to mount a compensator to it, a suppressor to it, eat your heart out.

Going from there, the front sight used to be molded into our slide, well now it’s a Glock-compatible front sight so you’ve got various options to do from night sights or taller height sights, whatever you need. The whole slide design has been redone, so we’ve got aggressive slide serrations. A new slide design as well, so it got rid of that rounded, bulbous look to it. Working its way back, the rear side now is actually red dot acceptable. In this case, its wearing a direct mount that’s RMSC.

We also have a Picatinny rail mount or, you still sick with the old-school iron sights. Going down the frame redesign we’ve got a legit Picatinny rail to it, so now you can mount the lights that you need to, whereas the old guns you couldn’t mount really anything to it. There’s a new trigger, along with new grips, new texturing, and a magazine release that is actually reversible for left or right-handed shooters. And our magazine now is a 10-round capacity versus the original eight, and they flush fit. Going to the back then, we have a grip safe that eliminates the original rattle the guns had, that a lot of people don’t like that, but now you can get a good purchase on it, the rattle is gone, and for a little more customization is our reversible back straps, from rounded or flat.

But if the Hi-Point YC9 isn’t really what you’re looking for, you might be looking for the one and only Yeet Cannon. It’s a laser-engraved slide, to go with the whole fun naming convention of it all.
