The Magpul FDP – a Joint Project with ZEV Technologies

Coming Soon the Magpul FDP, a collaboration with ZEV Technologies. The Magpul Folding Defensive Pistol is an OZ9 operating system, a Glock based inside of a folding chassis, that transfers like a title one firearm. The FDP has a manual safety, you can fold the FDP with a 20-round mag in. It has adjustable sights, removable carry handle with a picatinny rail for optics mounting, it comes in a compact package and it’s going to be available later this year, according to Magpul.

Testing and producing a project of this scale is a huge part of the process that can’t be rushed. Unlike the original folding concept firearm, which merely allowed the demonstration of an idea, the FDP-9 is a complete redesign of that concept meant to increase durability, reliability, practicality, and to incorporate important safety features and regulatory compliance features necessary to create a very real and usable firearm. Magpul is preparing for the release in 2023 and looking forward to sharing the final product that so many have waited for since the concept was first shown more than a decade ago.
