Every month, GunBroker.com releases data on the top selling firearms by category on the site. These reports are compiled, and the Top Selling Guns are honored. This year, two handguns and a pump shotgun make the list.

Since 2018, the 9mm semi-auto P365 has steadily grown in popularity with CCW holders. A great deal of this popularity comes from its size and capacity. The P365 is compact for easy carry, but with a capacity of larger pistols.

Second on the list was the SIG Sauer P320. This is the civilian version of the U.S. Army’s M17. It is also the second most purchased firearm in 2023. Available in 9mm, .45 ACP and 10mm, the P320 is available in a variety of models to suit almost any shooter. This is the second year that the SIG P365 and P320 pistols ranked No. 1 and 2, respectively.

The third most purchased firearm was the Mossberg 590 shotgun. This pump-action was also the most purchased shotgun on the marketplace overall. For years, the 590 has been one of the most popular tactical shotguns. In fact, it was once the standard issue shotgun for the U.S. military, and is still popular with law enforcement. Because of this popularity, the Mossberg 590 has rolled over the civilian market as a self-defense shotgun.
