Remington Launches New Hard Cast Handgun Ammunition

Remington Ammunition recently announced its new Hard Cast handgun ammunition line. The company engineered it for deep penetration and reliable performance when protection from dangerous game is the priority. Remington designed the new Hard Cast hunters, backcountry travelers and handgun enthusiasts who demand maximum stopping capability. The four dangerous game defense options feature a hard-cast, waxed-groove alloy bullet for ultimate penetration and a nickel-plated case for reliability. The new loads are 10mm 200-grain, .44 Rem. Mag. 260-grain, .357 Mag 180-grain, and 9mm Luger +P 145-grain.

“When the stakes are high, and the target is heavy, you need a load built to penetrate deep and keep driving,” said Product Director Nick Sachse. “Remington Hard Cast delivers that confidence with a tough, non-deforming bullet, dependable function, and features that make it a smart choice for defense against dangerous game.”

Remington built Hard Cast handgun ammo around a non-deforming alloy bullet designed to deliver the deep, straight-line penetration needed for defense against dense, heavy-bodied targets. Waxed grooves provide lubrication to help minimize barrel fouling. The nickel-plated cases ensure smooth extraction and reliable function in harsh conditions. Using heavier bullet weights, the Hard Cast line is designed to perform when the wild gets unpredictable.
