Bolt-Action Rifles Lead February Movement

Bolt-action rifles posted the most dramatic shifts in February’s rankings. The Remington 700 Mountain surged from #29 to the top spot, representing one of the largest month-over-month jumps across any firearm category.

Another strong climber was the Remington 700 BDL, which rose 22 positions. Both models reflect continued demand for lightweight and traditional hunting rifles.

Lever-Action Classics Continue Strong Demand

Lever-action rifles remain a steady segment of the used rifle market. The Winchester 1894 climbed into the top position for lever guns, while the Winchester 94 Sporter posted one of the biggest jumps in the category.

The Marlin 336 remains a staple of the lever-action market despite a small drop in February’s rankings.

Semi-Auto Rifle Market Remains Stable

The semi-auto rifle category showed relatively little volatility. The Ruger 10/22 reclaimed the top spot in the category, reaffirming its long-standing popularity among rimfire shooters.

Historic military rifles also remain active in the used market, with the Springfield M1 Garand maintaining a strong presence.

Bolt-Action Momentum

Bolt-action rifles recorded the largest ranking movements this month, led by multiple Remington 700 variants.

Rimfire Demand Remains Strong

The Ruger 10/22 continues to dominate the rimfire segment, remaining one of the most consistently traded rifles on the used market.

Heritage Platforms Stay Relevant

Classic designs such as the Winchester 1894 and M1 Garand continue to attract steady buyer interest.

Lever-Action Rotation

Lever-action rifles saw several notable rank changes, signaling increased buyer activity in this traditional rifle category.

Looking Ahead

With two months of 2026 data available, the used rifle market shows a mix of stability and selective momentum—particularly among bolt-action hunting rifles. March’s rankings will reveal whether February’s major movers maintain their positions or if established leaders return to the top.
