“Hey guys, Caleb Giddings here with Taurus USA, today we’re talking about our most Googled productproducts,. tThe Taurus GX4.
Now, the GX4 covers a wide line of guns. We have guns, like my personal favorite Taurus GX4, which is a GX4 Carry. This fits into that micro-compact kind of gun where it’s small but it holds a lot of bullets. This one’s 15 +1, and a grip that I can almost cover up with the palm of my hand. You have a 3-inch barrel, again, you use Glock sight dovetails, if you want to change the sights out you can. Its optics-ready on the Carry model for the shield RMSC footprint and it mounts low enough that if you select your optic thoughtfully, you can co-witness your iron sights without having to switch to suppressor height sights. So that’s the Taurus GX4 Carry.”
“On this lineup, we also have the GX4XL TORO, the same barrel and slide length as the Carry model, but it has a shorter grip for easier conceal-ability. You can get it with a 13-round magazine that lets you get your pinky on it, or you can use a flush-fit 10-or 11-round magazine, depending on the state that you live
in.”
“And last, we obviously have the original GX4. Features of the Taurus GX4 include our sniper-green Cerakote finish and it’s also available in black. It is available as an optics-ready model as well, which means if you don’t care about sight radius, put an optic on it on the optics-ready model.”
“This comes with a flush-fit 11-round magazine. Also accepts the 13-round magazine, and the cool thing about the small GX4 is that if you happen to have a GX4 Carry with its 15-round magazine, that will work in this gun as well. The entire GX4 family is available for purchase online at Gunbroker.com.”
It’s generally safe to carry the GX4 with a round in the chamber if deemed appropriate, though Taurus recommends carrying it with a full magazine and an empty chamber for optimal safety and readiness.
It has been noted that certain GX4 pistols assembled and sold in the United States may, in rare instances, discharge if dropped. However, Taurus is actively addressing this issue to ensure the highest standards of safety and reliability in their products.
The Taurus GX4 offers a solid 11-round capacity, which is impressive for its compact size. The Taurus G3c, on the other hand, is a compact model with a slightly longer barrel and an increased ammunition capacity, making it a making it a more versatile option for various scenarios.
