This Colt Python .357 magnum with a 3″ barrel has unique custom engraving. This particular listing also offered a custom medallion that showed the serial number of the Colt Python revolver, in addition to the original box and all the paperwork on this new firearm.

1981 Colt Python Hunter 8” Engraved by Jeff Flannery

Needing no introduction, the Colt Python is a .357 Magnum caliber revolver manufactured by Colt’s Manufacturing Company of Hartford, Connecticut. It was first introduced in 1955 and made until 2005 when manufacturing was halted until 2020. The hunter features a unique scope that was a collaboration between Leupold and Colt. Only 2500 were made.

The original Colt Python revolvers were made for 50 years before being discontinued, but were reintroduced in 2020, now being made in 3″, 4.25″ and 6″ models, all constructed with stainless steel. This 6″ example has been fancily engraved by Tyler Gun Works and will make for a nice Python you can add to your collection, but would also serve well as a recreational shooter, home defense revolver, or as a classy BBQ gun.

The right of the frame is marked with the serial number and a QR square. There is beautiful, elaborate floral scroll engraving throughout the metal surfaces.

• Sights/Optics: The front sight is a ramped blade with a serrated orange plastic insert secured to the ventilated rib by an in-line screw mounted through the front. The rear sight is a square notch adjustable for windage and elevation in a base pinned to the top strap. The top of the rib and topstrap are matte finished for glare reduction.
• Stock Configuration and Condition: The grips are two-piece checkered laminate wood with silver-colored Colt medallions at their tops. The grips have no notable wear or damage, only light handling marks. The checkering is well defined. There are no chips or cracks. Overall, the grips are in Excellent condition.

• Bore Condition: The bore is quite bright and the rifling is sharp. There is no erosion.
