Hi, I’m John Howard was Kahr Firearms Group. We also own the Auto-Ordnance brand which is famous for its historical firearms. And one of the things that we often do with that line as make art projects for we do custom engraved and finish guns with various teams with our partners Outlaw Ordnance the latest in our Warrior tradition series guns is the Spartan 1911 and this picks up on themes that many Americans identify with about the 300 Spartans who said molon labe when they were told to throw down. It’s a powerful message against gun control. The gun is engraved with themes about the Greek Spartans, the Molon Labe slogan, it has the Spartan shield in color, which is kind of a beautiful touch and on the other side more imagery of Spartan warriors with a Spartan helmet on the Top. The cool thing about these guns is not only are they a modern 1911 with many features people like and are very shootable, the Finish is a high-quality cerakote. So it looks pretty and you can shoot it.
Many people who are fans of World War II will remember the famous Black Sheep which were a Squadron that fought in the Pacific Theater and their Ace Pappy Boyington. This is the Black Sheep 1911 and it’s based on the design of his Corsair aircraft with the paint scheme that he used, his number, the kill badges for his Japanese planes that he had shot down, and he had his girlfriend’s name on his aircraft. So we have that on the pistol as well. Again, beautiful gun. Looks like an aircraft but is a very shootable 1911 with a very durable finish. You can expect to see more fighter plane themed guns from us in the future. We also have some really interesting art guns in our Desert Eagle line. So I’m going to show you a new limited edition gun coming out this year.
This is John Howard again with Kahr Firearms Group and a lot of people don’t know that we own Magnum Research and Magnum Research is most famous for the iconic Desert Eagle pistol. We do a lot of custom art guns on the desert eagle. It has a lot of space and it lends itself to be a canvas for engravers an artist to do cool designs. The team at Coated Arms came up with this design which will be in a limited run of 25 handguns. It’s called the Aloha Desert Eagle and it is engraved with art with a Polynesian theme, with beautiful iridescent colors. You really have to see this gun almost in person to see the shift from blue to purple that happens in the pearlescent white on the gun. Absolutely gorgeous gun.
History of Desert Eagle
The Desert Eagle is kind of an interesting and unique firearm in our industry. It’s a gas-operated handgun, which is uncommon. It was created in the 1980s to allow Magnum calibers to be used in a semi automatic pistol the original intent being hunting. But the movie industry found this gun and it forever became synonymous with movies and television shows and video games.
