Hi, I’m Brett Maffett, Senior Product Manager for Benelli, and I’m here at Shot Show, bringing you all the exciting Innovations from your favorite firearms brand. The one I’m holding here is our flagship: the Super Black Eagle 3. Really the finest waterfowl shotgun in the world. Lets talk about the features of Benelli Super Black Eagle 3. This is, of course, offered in three-and-a-half inch, three-inch, and 12-gauge, 20-gauge, and 28-gauge. This specific model has the Benelli surface treatment. The B.E.S.T treated, which we warranty for 25 years against rust and corrosion. It’s a really pretty amazing technology. It’s a DLC light technology that’s applied to our crio barrels that prevents any rust and scratches.
Honestly, the first test we did in the United States was me taking it, tying it to a log, and throwing it in the tidal creek behind my house, and slept there for three months, pulled it out of the water, not a speck of rust on the thing. Of course, the SBE3 has a tougher 3 retail reduction system, with pad easy-locked in bolt. Easy new loading system, really the nicest ergonomics of, I think, any shot that you’ll find here in the building, and shoots like an absolute dream.
