Per product listing: Set of two lever action rifles: Winchester Models 94 & 9422M “Matched Set of One Thousand” Commemorative! Winchester Commemoratives were first introduced in 1964 with the Wyoming Diamond Jubilee. Each Commemorative was issued as a reproduction of a historically famous gun model or to honor a historically significant person, group, event, or institution relating to U.S. or Canadian history.
This is a Winchester Matched “One of One Thousand” rifle set consisting of a Model 9422M rifle chambered in .,22 WMR, and a Model 94 carbine chambered in .30-30 Win made only in 1979. The rifles have a high luster blued finish with the receiver, lever, and forend cap finished in gold-satin. The receivers are engraved with game scenes, and the stock is fancy checkered walnut with Fleur-De-Lis patterns running through the checkering. This set encompasses the spirit of the West and those who hunt for their food in the wild, as well as the special quality that was put into the original “One of One Thousand.” We expect the price of these matched sets to continue to rise, and Winchester collectors who don’t already own one are going to wish they picked this one up while they had the chance. Will ship with the original factory-labeled shipping boxes, originally labeled styrofoam with “Matches Set One of One Thousand” cardboard sleeve, original serial matching manuals, and wooden two-gun display case with red velvet lining and key!

#3: Winchester 9422 .22LR Yellow Boy Tradition 20 ½-inch Barrel

Per product listing: Winchester’s Model 9422 was introduced in 1972. It was designed to capture the image of the traditional lever actions with an exposed hammer, straight grip, tube magazine, and barrel bands. Unlike older Winchester lever-actions, it came grooved for scope mounting. It was offered in .22 Long Rifle and .22 WMR and was priced at the high end of the .22 LR sporting rifle market.

The 9422 action design was original and extremely reliable. The feed system handled the cartridge from the magazine to the breech face by its rim, and the slide cammed the rear of the breechblock up into the locking recess. A concealed polymer buffer above the breech gave a firm-feeling lockup and a very positive unlocking motion.

The Winchester Yellow Boy Tradition is a rare lever-action rifle that features a gold plated receiver, 20 1/2″ barrel, Straight grip walnut stock with checkering, hooded post front sight, and an adjustable semi-buckhorn rear sight. This example would make an incredible choice for any avid collector looking to add a gorgeous example to their collection!

#8: Colt Model of 1911 US Army .45 ACP Semi-Automatic Pistol, June 1912 with Accessories

Per product listing: Make: Colt, Model: 1911, Serial Number: 3905, Year of Manufacture: June 1912, Caliber: .45 ACP, Action Type: Single Action Semi-Auto with Removable Magazine, Barrel Length: 5-inch.Seller’s Assessment: This is a Colt Model 1911 made in the first year of production, 1912, part of a 200-gun shipment on June 17, 1912, to Springfield Armory. Collectors take note; this pistol has a raft of early features. The guide rod is the early “long-leg” style, the recoil spring plunger does not have a punch-hole, the slide and barrel both have the early horizontal “H” mark with serifs, the mainspring housing pin is convex on each end, and even the magazine is the early style with an exposed floorplate. The magazine catch lock began life as a dimpled lock but has a slot cut, which would be proper for early-mid-1912 production. The pistol is in Very Good condition, with 65% of its blue metal finish remaining, the bore is in pretty darned good shape for a 111-year-old service pistol, and the mechanics are still strong.

Perhaps as exciting are the accessories included with the pistol. A 1912 dated M1912 holster and 1913 dated M1912 magazine pouch, both produced by Rock Island Arsenal, as well as a Ridabock M1902 officer’s sword, scabbard, and period belt. The sword itself has been inscribed as a gift from Service Battery 156 of the Field Artillery. Even without these accouterments, this would be a fantastic early 1911 to add to any collection. Box, Paperwork & Accessories: This pistol comes with a single 7-round magazine, a brown leather Model 1912 flap-holster, a brown leather Model 1912 magazine pocket (pouch), a brown leather sword belt, and a Model 1902 Army Officer’s Sword.

#17: Pre-War German Wilhelm Collath Drilling Gun 16 GA

Per product listing: This auction is for a pre-war German drilling rifle stamped with the initials of Wilhelm Collath. This rifle features a double trigger design with a safety and selector for the rifle and shotgun barrels which raises the rear sight when switched to the rifle setting. Additionally, the rib, forend latch, tang, and break lever are finely engraved with swirling patterns and/or texture, and the gun is banded at the breech with gold. The gun appears to have a wooden pad and a bone trigger guard and grip cap with fine diamond checkering on both the grip and forend. The gun has retained much of its original finish and does not appear at all to be rusted or pitted on the exterior, only worn with use and age. Though the stock is scratched and dented and the screw holding the trigger guard to the grip is stripped, there appear to be no cracks or breaks in the wood.

The barrels of the gun are stamped “Wittener Excelcior Stahl (Steel)” and, on the rib,  “E. Jordan Frankfurt A.M.” It is possible that the gun was made by Wilhelm Collath at his guild in Frankfurt prior to the creation of W. Collath and Sons, but not certain. The markings on the bottom of the barrels read ‘Nitro’ in addition to some proof metrics and crowns. The shotgun barrels appear to be scattered with pits but are otherwise mirror bright, and the rifle bore is mirror bright with sharp rifling. The shotgun bores are 16 gauge, measuring 27-inches (and have not been cut) with Modified and Full chokes. The rifle beneath measures out to approximately 9.3MM with a straight-walled chamber, however it is unclear without a cast what the length dimension is, as there were several 9.3MM straight wall cartridges used popularly at the time, especially for German drilling rifles. Although the left shotgun striker sticks forward when the trigger is pulled, the action appears to be functional.

#21: Spanish ASTRA Carabineros Model 1921 400 9mm Largo Semi-Auto Pistol, C&R

Per product listing: Seller Assessment: This 1921 was made the official replacement of the Campo-Giro 1913/16 in that very year, 1921. That was the first of many major instances of acceptance—next was the Spanish prison service one month later, the Spanish Navy in 1923, and the Spanish Air Force. Large amounts were produced, and the inability of its successor, the Star Pistol, to be made in the needed quantities, made it so the Astra 400 remained in service until 1950. This example is notable for being adopted by the Spanish Carabineros (Civil Guard), an organization that, prior to the Spanish Civil War, was concerned primarily with border patrol and customs maintenance. This example is in Very Good-to-Fine condition overall with strong mechanics and a more-than-decent refinishing.

Overall Condition: This pistol retains about 92% of its current metal finish. There are intermittent spots of minor pitting from erosion under the current finish. Edges have light thinning and intermittent dings, some of which disrupt the finish. The grip frame has thinned. The screws have light tool marks but are still serviceable, one screw is missing from the right grip. There is also light oxidation. All the markings are clear. Overall, this pistol is in Very Good-to-Fine condition, as refinished. Box, Paperwork, and Accessories: This pistol includes one (1) 8-round magazine and a soft case.

It was designed by John Browning in 1894 and originally chambered to fire two metallic black powder cartridges, the .32-40 Winchester and .38-55 Winchester. It was the first rifle to chamber the smokeless powder round, the .30 WCF (.30 Winchester Center Fire, in time becoming known as the .30-30 Winchester) in 1895.

The Model 1894 has been referred to as the “ultimate lever-action design” by firearms historians such as R. L. Wilson and Hal Herring. The Model 1894 is the rifle credited with the name “Winchester” being used to refer to all rifles of this type and was the first commercial sporting rifle to sell over 7,000,000 units. The Rifle was a very early production model 1894 with almost all of the upgrades available at the time, authenticated by the Cody Firearms Museum.
