SIG SAUER P211-GTO: The Next Generation 1911 Pistol [VIDEO] 

With fanfare, SIG has announced a new generation of products across every major category. SIG NEXT products cover pistols, rifles, optics and suppressors, using the latest in technology to create breakthrough innovations. This includes the brand new SIG SAUER P211-GTO.

This double-stack 1911 pistol blends a classic hammer-fired design with modern innovation. It features a 4.4-inch bull barrel with a Mach3D compensator and a straight-pull trigger. This 3D-manufactured compensator uses a specialized gas flow design to dramatically reduce muzzle rise and felt recoil. This provides for faster, more accurate follow-up shots.

Even better, the SIG SAUER P211-GTO is designed around the extremely reliable P320 magazine platform. The P320 magazine is also highly available, due to the military choosing a version for its M17 sidearm. 

There will be three full-size versions of the SIG SAUER P211-GTO available to start—the GTO, the GTO-10 and the GT0-B-RXSL. The main differences being a 10-round magazine for one and an included optic on the other. The RXSL also features XRAY3 Day/Night Sights, while the other two come with a fiber-optic front sight and a black rear sight.

This new double-stack 1911 will be available soon, with other versions coming. Coming models include P211 Carry, Compact, XCarry, Legion, XCompact and more. 

We were at the announcement in New Hampshire learning how the SIG SAUER P211-GTO handles.
