Browning has been building over/under shotguns for generations, and for 2026 the 825 platform receives its most comprehensive expansion to date. Introduced at SHOT Show 2026, the updated Browning 825 lineup adds long-awaited sub-gauge options, new high-grade models, true left-hand configurations, and a striking new Noir variant that pushes traditional shotgun aesthetics in a bold new direction.
Designed to serve upland hunters, competitive shooters, and collectors alike, the 825 family now spans field, sporting, and trap disciplines with more choices than ever before.
In this video overview, Browning walks through the new 825 lineup and highlights the features, finishes, and configurations that define the series for 2026.

For 2026, the Browning 825 is offered in a full range of field and competition-ready configurations. The Field models are available in 12, 20, 28 gauge, and .410 bore, featuring classic upland game scene engraving on both sides of the receiver—an iconic Browning hallmark that blends tradition with refinement.
The Sporting versions expand beyond 12 gauge to include 20 gauge, 28 gauge, and .410 bore, incorporating updated ergonomic designs carried over from the 12-gauge sporting models. Premium Grade III and Grade IV walnut stocks complement the platform, giving the sub-gauge models the same upscale feel as their larger-bore counterparts.
All 825 models utilize Browning’s proven Invector-DS choke system and a mechanical trigger, ensuring consistent performance across the entire lineup.

One of the biggest additions for 2026 is the arrival of true sub-gauge 825 models. Browning now offers the 825 in both 28 gauge and .410 bore, giving shooters lighter-recoiling options ideal for upland hunting, sporting clays, and sub-gauge competition.
These sub-gauge models deliver the same balance, ergonomics, and premium materials found in the larger calibers, making them purpose-built rather than scaled-down afterthoughts.

Browning also expands the 825 into new high-grade territory for 2026. The lineup now includes the Belmont, Lariat, and Grange Field models, each featuring elevated engraving, premium wood, and refined receiver finishes with gold accents.
New for this year is the Browning 825 Noir, a standout variant featuring a Grade 4A maple stock stained black—a treatment rarely seen on wood-stocked shotguns. Paired with a blued receiver and gold accents, the Noir delivers a modern, dramatic aesthetic while still showcasing the natural maple grain beneath the finish. The Noir is available in both sporting and trap configurations.

Left-handed shooters also see major news for 2026. Browning introduces a full line of dedicated left-hand 825 models, complete with a left-hand palm swell and left-hand top lever. These are true left-hand configurations—not ambidextrous compromises—bringing improved ergonomics and control to southpaw shooters across field, sporting, and trap variants.

With the expanded 825 lineup, Browning has created one of the most versatile over/under platforms in its catalog. The addition of sub-gauge models fills a key gap for competition and upland shooters, while high-grade finishes, bold design options like the Noir, and true left-hand configurations demonstrate Browning’s commitment to both tradition and innovation.
Whether you’re chasing birds in the field, shooting clays on the weekend, or adding a refined over/under to your collection, the Browning 825 lineup for 2026 offers a configuration built to fit the job—and the shooter.
